Sea to Sky Real Estate Update
WHISTLER’s real estate market saw a total dollar volume of just under $78.5 Million in August in a total of 60 transactions, which is the highest number of sales we’ve seen in a single month this year. 21 of the transactions were for condo sales, 18 were townhome sales and 11 were chalet sales. Chalet sales lead the Whistler market for dollar volume in August, with a total of over $30.7 Million!

Property sales in PEMBERTON brought in just over $9.6 Million in dollar volume in August 2019, with a total of 19 property sales. Of those, 5 were chalets sales totalling $4.7 Million, 7 were condo sales totalling $2.7 Million, and there were 3 townhome sales totalling $1.7 Million.

The SQUAMISH real estate market in August brought in a total dollar volume of just over $23.3 Million. There were a total of 30 property transactions reported: 10 single-family home sales, 17 townhome sales, and 5 condo sales. Townhome sales made up the most of the total dollar volume last month, just under $12 Million total.

Whistler Blackcomb sees first snowfall of the season
Are we getting excited for ski season already? Absolutely! “So long, summer: First autumn snowfall captured by 7th Heaven’s mountain cams” According to an article by The Pique Newsmagazine, with a timelapse video which you can watch here. “Here’s hoping the fall flurries continue until Whistler Blackcomb’s opening day, currently slated for Nov. 28.”
New report highlights need for affordable senior housing in Pemberton
“A new report looking into the housing needs of Village of Pemberton (VOP) seniors calls for additional seniors housing, including independent, semi-independent, assisted living and long-term care options.” According to this article by the Pique Newsmagazine. “Pemberton does have one non-market independent Seniors’ Housing Project, located at the end of Flint Street, known as the Pemberton Lions Villas. The report calls for the creation of more housing like it.”
