Whistler experienced a significant surge in market activity in October, registering 55 sales—a 64% increase compared to September. This uptick aligns with the expected seasonal rise, driven by prospective buyers seeking residences in preparation for the upcoming snow season. The market dynamics were further influenced by a 15% increase in inventory from the year-to-date inventory average. This figure is consistent with Whistler’s 5-year average.

Both single-family homes and condos observed a positive trend in median sales prices, rising by 9% and 20%, respectively, in comparison to October 2022. Despite the sales-to-listings ratio indicating a market leaning towards seller favorability, it is noteworthy that the market has witnessed several price decreases, presenting advantageous opportunities for potential buyers. The current scenario reflects a dynamic market with opportunities for both sellers and buyers.

WHISTLER’s real estate market had a total dollar volume of approximately $95 Million in October. There were a total of 57 transactions. Of those sales, 10 were chalets, 8 were townhouses and 16 were condominiums sales.
