Sea to Sky Real Estate and Community Update

We’re now in Phase 2 of the BC Restart Plan and restrictions are being lifted on many businesses and amenities including our parks. And while we can’t wait to feel the lush lawns underfoot, take a dip in the mountain-fresh waters of our lakes and let our babies (fur and otherwise) run a little more freely, we’ve still got to keep the two-metre physical distancing in mind and stay home if we feel at all under the weather.

The advisory against non-essential personal travel is also still in effect, but we are hopeful that BC will transition to Phase 3 as early as June, which means we’re getting ready to welcome BC residence soon!

Let us know if you are planing to come up to Whistler and we are happy to let you know what’s going on  in our neighbourhood! Stay safe.

We’re Smiling Behind Our Masks

British Columbia has done a relatively good job of flattening the COVID19 curve, and we are now entering into a phase of re-opening. Schools, Retail Stores, Restaurant Dining, Personal Services and other BC businesses will re-open adhering to strict guidelines to protect employees and the public from the continued transmission risk. We know that we are not out of the woods yet, as our Public Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry cautions us with regard to a second wave. As such, RE/MAX Sea to Sky Real Estate is taking all provincial and WorkSafe BC directives very seriously as we prepare to open our offices once again to our agents and the public. We will continue to practice physical distancing within our office spaces, and take extra precautions to protect our staff, agents, buyers, and sellers. Just know that we are smiling behind our masks as we are excited to help our clients with their next adventures – we’ve really missed you all. We know it’s not business as usual, but we’re happy to be back to work.

If you have any questions about real estate during this time, or if you’d like to know more about how we are preparing to protect our listed properties, buyers, and sellers, please feel free to contact your RE/MAX Sea to Sky Real Estate agent. They are happy to help!

Take care and stay safe!

Sea to Sky Tourism From The Comfort of Your Home

While we are all missing travel and exploration there are opportunities to be a tourist from the comfort of your own home.  Pack a lunch, head to your couch and enjoy a virtual visit to various Sea to Sky favourites. Our very own Real Estate 3D Tours expert Francis Chiasson was recently featured in a Pique Newsmagazine article sharing his tours to Local Whistler attractions.

“It’s in the midst of this cabin fever that Francis Chiasson’s 3D camera tours of all these iconic Whistler locations have taken on a new purpose: helping housebound locals escape to their favourite places for an afternoon. “This is halfway between video and still photography,” he says. “You can immerse yourself in the scene. Then you can move through it to the next spot, but you’re not controlled by video; you can move it.” Chiasson’s wife and son first told him about this new technology after they saw the Matterport 3D camera system at a real estate conference. He was immediately intrigued.”
