Real Estate
Resources During Covid-19

Currently, lenders are offering some semblance of mortgage deferral on a case by case basis. We have linked to this information from each of the major banks and a few of the local credit unions.

Landlord BC has issued some requests regarding showing tenanted properties, use and sanitization of common spaces/elevators, etc. Additionally, we will continue to update this page with directives from the province and federal government regarding rent payment deferrals and evictions.

For long-term, low income tenants, there is some rental assistance from BC Housing. The government webpage and other resources are available on our site for you to visit to determine if you qualify.

For those of you who have properties listed with us, we have created some statistical tools so you can keep tabs on the local real estate markets. For buyers and sellers who have sales in our system, including firm contracts, we have been in close communication with lawyers’ offices and all have indicated that they are working to bring contracts to close. We have included further pertinent information on our website here.

We are feeling the pinch just as you are, and we are moving forward to try and maintain our staff. There are some payroll and other resources for small business owners and self-employed individuals linked on our site, and we will update this page as more information becomes available from the federal and provincial governments.
