Summer is here, and Whistler is in full force!
We are continuing to see some wonderful listings come on to the market, and noteable sales on a weekly basis.  There are still lots of buyers out there, and some taking advantage of less competition in our marketplace, and achieving their goals in our beautiful Sea to Sky Corridor!

Sales have slowed slightly throughout Q2, but the number of sales year to date remain in line with the 10 year average for Whistler.  Inventory rose about 40% from Q1, however average prices for chalets and condos have increased year over year.

Interest rates are still expected to rise with another increase expected for July 13, and further details on the proposed Foreign Buyer Tax are still to be addressed. Both items are not expected to impact the Whistler market due to the small mortgage size in our town and proposed ban expected to exclude recreational properties.

Through June 2022

WHISTLER’s real estate market had a total dollar volume of approximately $48 Million in June. There were a total of 30 transactions. Of those sales, 2 were chalets, 9 were townhouses and 9 were condominiums sales

The SQUAMISH real estate market had a total of $41 Million in sales in June. There were a total of 29 property transactions. Of those sales, 13 were single family homes, 8 were townhomes and 4 were condominiums.

The PEMBERTON market had approximately $13 Million in total dollar volume in June. There were a total of 14 transactions. Of those sales, 5 were chalets and 2 were townhouses.
