For Current Buyers & Sellers:
We recognize that real estate is different than it was a few weeks ago. At RE/MAX Sea to Sky Real Estate we have taken steps to close our office to the public and we encourage our property sellers to “meet” with their agents online. Video chat and screen sharing software makes all of this relatively easy and comfortable. We are happy to see you, even if we cannot shake your hand at this time.
Additionally, the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver has recommended against open houses at this time. We feel that it is just not in the best interests of our home owners or potential buyers to hold open houses. The good news is we live in a time where we have access to amazing 3D Virtual Tour technology, and we have put in place procedures to minimize the contact that people have with properties on the market. We are requesting that potential property buyers view the virtual tour first to determine if they would like to see a property before an in-person showing. Additionally, we are not currently allowing children at any property showings. We are requesting that potential buyers do not touch anything (door knobs, surfaces, etc) in a property. Your REALTOR® will open all doors for you and follow sanitation procedures afterwards.
If you home has sold, or you have purchased a property, but it has not yet closed, rest assured that our conveyance team is working diligently (and digitally) to finalize property sales. We have spoken with all of the lawyers for sales already in our system. Each has confirmed that they are indeed working, and expect sales to close as normal.
